The Department of Homeland Security awards grant funding for the purchase of products and equipment to first responders. There are numerous grant programs available to help state and local governments equip first responders across the nation with the latest equipment. These funds are granted through the State Homeland Security Grant Program, the Urban Area Security Initiative, and other grants administered by the Office of Domestic Preparedness (ODP), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
